UNDERSTAND THE TOOL

How it works

The indicator calculates daily pivot points using the previous day's high, low, and close prices through a standard formula: Pivot Point = (High + Low + Close) / 3. It continuously monitors each tracked ticker's open, high, low, and current prices on a 1-minute timeframe, checking for proximity to the calculated pivot point.

When any price value approaches the pivot point within a 0.25% tolerance, the system triggers an alert. These alerts are designed to be sent as JSON payloads, enabling seamless integration with platforms like Discord or other webhook-supported systems for immediate trader notification.

Why it may be useful

Pivot points provide critical insights into potential market support and resistance levels, helping traders identify key price interaction zones before they occur. By tracking multiple major tech stocks simultaneously, the indicator offers a comprehensive view of market sentiment and potential price movement directions.

The real-time alert mechanism allows traders to quickly respond to emerging opportunities, reducing reaction time and potentially improving trade entry and exit strategies. Its precise calculation method and configurable alert threshold make it a valuable tool for traders seeking data-driven, systematic trading approaches.

When to explore it

This indicator is most effective during active U.S. market hours, specifically from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM PST on weekdays when tech and market-leading stocks experience high liquidity and price movement. It is particularly useful for day traders and scalpers looking to capitalize on short-term price fluctuations around key technical levels.

Traders should pay special attention to the indicator when markets show increased volatility or during earnings seasons when tech stocks may experience more significant price movements. The multi-ticker approach allows for comparing and cross-referencing pivot point interactions across different market-leading stocks.
