The script automatically converts server time from UTC to Philippine Time (UTC+8), identifying the specific time window from 8:01 PM to 7:59 AM. It then overlays a soft blue background directly on the trading chart during this designated night session period.
By seamlessly integrating time zone conversion with visual highlighting, traders can instantly recognize and distinguish off-hours or pre-market trading periods without manual calculations or mental tracking.
Why it may be useful
Identifying night session periods is crucial for traders analyzing 24/7 markets like cryptocurrencies, where trading activity can significantly differ during off-peak hours. The visual overlay provides immediate context about market timing, helping traders make more informed decisions based on session-specific characteristics.
This script eliminates the need for manual time zone calculations and offers a quick, intuitive way to segment trading sessions, which can be particularly valuable for international traders operating across different time zones.
When to explore it
This script is most beneficial for traders actively monitoring crypto markets, forex, or other 24-hour trading instruments where distinct session characteristics can impact trading strategies. It's especially useful for traders operating in or analyzing the Philippine market time zone.
Traders can leverage this tool during periods of potential low liquidity, overnight market movements, or when tracking international market transitions, providing a clear visual demarcation of different trading sessions.
