Explore complementary indicator rolesHow it works
The indicator first calculates valid trading days by excluding weekends. It then identifies specific time zones corresponding to Asian, London, and New York trading sessions based on UTC+1 time. At predetermined times, vertical dashed lines are automatically drawn on the chart to mark session boundaries.
These lines create visual markers at 00:00 & 08:00 for the Asian session, 08:00 & 13:00 for the London session, and 13:00 & 00:00 for the New York session. The lines help traders quickly recognize transition points between different global trading sessions.
Why it may be useful
Session boundary indicators provide crucial visual context for understanding market dynamics across different global trading times. They help traders identify potential entry and exit points by highlighting key transition periods where market sentiment and liquidity can shift dramatically.
By marking these session boundaries, traders can more effectively analyze previous session highs and lows, which often serve as important reference points for potential trading opportunities. The visual representation makes it easier to track and anticipate potential market movements during critical trading windows.
When to explore it
This indicator is most effective for traders focusing on intraday and short-term trading strategies across global markets. It works particularly well for those trading forex, indices, or other instruments with significant volume during major trading sessions.
Traders can utilize these session lines to identify potential support and resistance levels, recognize market sentiment shifts, and plan their trading strategies around key session transitions. It is especially useful for understanding how different global markets interact and influence each other throughout the trading day.
