How it works

The BSL & SSL - Liquidity Zones indicator calculates the Highest High (Buy Side Liquidity) and Lowest Low (Sell Side Liquidity) over a specified period, typically 20 candles. When a new Higher High forms, it marks a new Buy Side Liquidity (BSL) zone, and when a new Lower Low forms, it marks a new Sell Side Liquidity (SSL) zone.

These zones are visually represented as static horizontal lines on the chart, with green labels for BSL and red labels for SSL. The lines remain in place until broken or a new level is formed, providing traders with clear visual markers of potential liquidity accumulation points.

Why it may be useful

The indicator helps traders understand hidden liquidity levels that may attract institutional interest and potential price movements. By identifying zones where stop-loss and pending orders accumulate, traders can gain insights into potential market manipulation and institutional trading strategies.

This tool is particularly valuable for traders applying Smart Money Concepts (SMC) or institutional trading models, as it provides a visual representation of where significant order clusters might exist. It enhances traders' ability to anticipate potential market reversals, stop hunts, and strategic price movements.

When to explore it

The BSL & SSL - Liquidity Zones indicator is most effective when used in conjunction with other technical analysis tools and trading strategies. It works best when traders are looking to identify potential liquidity grab points, stop-loss hunting scenarios, and market structure shifts across various timeframes.

Traders should use this indicator as a confirmation tool alongside price action analysis, support and resistance levels, momentum indicators, and other SMC tools. It is particularly useful when seeking to understand potential market turning points and institutional trading intentions.
