Catching Trend Reversals by shorting tops and buying bottoms

How it works

The HOLP and LOHP indicator identifies trend reversals by tracking price action over a configurable period, typically 20 days. It detects when today's price is making a period high or low, marking potential trend transition points with triangular indicators above or below price candles.

When a trending market is identified, the strategy pinpoints the high bar in an uptrend and generates a short signal when price closes below that bar's low. The initial stop is set at the high of the identified high bar, with a two-bar trailing stop implemented after the third trading period.
