How it works

MultiWAP tracks price movement by calculating volume-weighted average prices through two dynamic VWAP lines. The lower VWAP represents market makers' average buying price, while the upper VWAP tracks retail's average buying price, creating a nuanced view of market dynamics.

As price moves, these VWAP lines automatically reset when significant price levels are breached, effectively anchoring themselves to the most recent and significant high and low points. Green and red dots indicate these resets, providing visual cues about potential trend changes and market maker behavior.

Why it may be useful

MultiWAP offers traders insights into market maker strategies by revealing their potential buying and selling zones. By tracking volume-weighted price levels, traders can understand how institutional investors are positioning themselves and potentially anticipate market movements.

The indicator helps traders identify trend shifts, accumulation and distribution phases, and potential trend reversals by monitoring the reset patterns and price interactions with VWAP lines. This provides a more sophisticated understanding of market dynamics beyond traditional price action analysis.

When to explore it

MultiWAP is most effective in volatile markets with clear trending characteristics, particularly for short to medium-term trading strategies. It works best when used across multiple timeframes, starting from a broad view and progressively zooming in to identify precise entry and exit points.

Traders should apply this indicator during periods of significant market movement, such as during earnings reports, economic announcements, or when trading instruments with consistent institutional involvement. It is particularly useful for day traders and scalpers seeking to understand and potentially trade alongside market maker movements.
