GIVE EVERY TOOL A JOB Price, participation & volatility Study where price sits relative to volume-weighted value, how a volume-based series develops, and how large price ranges have become.
01
Price context Include Rolling VWAP Chart preview Rolling VWAP Rolling VWAP weights price by volume over a moving time window. Unlike session VWAP, it does not reset at the start of each session.
Check before using Its automatic window changes with chart interval. Use a consistent window and a feed that supplies meaningful volume.

Volume participation Include On Balance Volume Chart preview On Balance Volume This OBV variant displays the volume-derived series as candles, with moving-average options. Compare its behaviour with price.
Check before using OBV candles are not actual traded-price candles. Divergence is a research observation, not proof of a reversal or institutional activity.

Movement size Include Average True Range Percent Chart preview Average True Range Percent ATR Percent adds price-range context so a small drift and a wide, volatile move are not described as the same condition.
Check before using Volatility does not identify the direction of the next move.
See access, alerts & review status → A simple research walkthrough Check the exchange, symbol and type of volume in the feed; different venues can show different activity. Fix the Rolling VWAP window, then compare price location and OBV behaviour over the same period. Use percentage range to describe movement size. Keep a note of disagreements instead of forcing all three tools into one signal. CHECK THE OVERLAP VWAP and OBV both use volume. They are complementary views of related inputs, not independent confirmation. Missing or tick-volume feeds change what you can infer.
