How it works

The strategy first utilizes UT Bot Alerts, which calculates a dynamic stop level using Average True Range (ATR) multiplied by a sensitivity factor. When price closes above or below this trailing stop and a short-term EMA crosses correspondingly, a potential trade setup is triggered.

The signal then requires confirmation from the Hull Moving Average (HMA), which acts as a secondary filter. A buy signal occurs only when the UT Bot buy condition is active and price closes above the HMA, while a sell signal requires the UT Bot sell condition and price closing below the HMA, ensuring higher signal reliability.

Why it may be useful

This trading signal provides traders with a structured approach to identifying potential trend reversals by combining two independent systems: momentum detection and trend confirmation. By using the UT Bot Alerts and Hull Moving Average together, the strategy helps reduce false signals and improves entry point accuracy.

The dual-confirmation process allows traders to enter trades with increased confidence, minimizing premature entries and providing a more disciplined trading approach. It offers a systematic method for capturing early trend changes while maintaining a logical and methodical framework for trade decision-making.

When to explore it

The strategy works best when price action demonstrates a significant Average True Range (ATR) and exhibits clear directional movement. Traders should preferably use this system when price is bouncing off known support or resistance levels and respecting short-term moving averages like the 9 or 15 period EMAs.

While adaptable across various timeframes, the indicator is particularly effective for day trading on 3 or 5 minute charts. It is most suitable for markets with clear momentum shifts and less effective during periods of choppy, range-bound price action, making it ideal for traders seeking structured entry points during potential trend reversals.
