How it works

The AlphaTrend indicator calculates trend direction by comparing the indicator line with a 2-bar offset line, generating signals when these lines cross. It uses either Money Flow Index (MFI) or RSI as its base calculation, incorporating Average True Range (ATR) to measure trend strength.

When the indicator line crosses above the offset line with a green filling, it generates a buy signal, indicating an uptrend.
