How it works

The indicator begins by using an ATR-based zigzag to determine the current market trend direction. It then signs volume as positive or negative based on the trend and cumulatively sums it, converting this to a z-score over 480 bars to assess unusual buying or selling pressure.

Simultaneously, it normalizes price into a z-score and tracks its change. The indicator compares volume z-score (s) with price z-score (p), looking for moments when s outpaces p by at least two standard deviations, while maintaining low price momentum and positive net volume.
