How it works

The Perp-Spot Basis Indicator calculates the percentage difference between perpetual futures and spot prices for crypto assets. It automatically detects the asset pairs on Binance by comparing the perpetual futures price (e.g., BTCUSDT.P) with the corresponding spot price (e.g., BTCUSDT).

The calculation is performed by subtracting the spot price from the perpetual futures price, then dividing by the spot price and multiplying by 100 to express the result as a percentage. This percentage is then color-coded to visually represent market sentiment, with blue indicating a premium and red indicating a discount.
