How it works

The indicator monitors each new candle, checking if the current open is approximately equal to the previous close within a configurable buffer. It identifies pairs of opposite candles (green to red or red to green) and creates horizontal lines at these interaction points.

When a valid pair is detected, the indicator checks for existing active lines near the level. If no line exists within the defined tolerance, it draws a new line classified as either potential resistance or support. These lines automatically extend rightward and update with each bar, providing dynamic market visualization.

Why it may be useful

This indicator provides traders with an objective, automated method to identify potential short-term market turning points based on precise price action analysis. By highlighting zones where order flow imbalances occur, it offers insights into potential support and resistance levels that might not be immediately visible.

The tool's intelligent design allows traders to quickly recognize areas of potential market reaction, helping them make more informed trading decisions. Its ability to automatically manage and update lines reduces manual analysis time and provides a clean, minimalist visual representation of market dynamics.

When to explore it

The indicator works best on intraday timeframes ranging from 1-minute to 15-minute charts, particularly in volatile or fast-moving markets like index futures and liquid stocks. It is most effective when traders need to identify short-term reaction zones and potential intraday turning points.

Traders should adjust the equality buffer and tolerance parameters based on the specific instrument's volatility. It is recommended to use conservative break buffers to avoid premature line invalidation and combine the indicator with personal market context and risk management strategies.
