A technical analysis tool that identifies potential trend reversals by tracking momentum and trend exhaustion phases across bullish, bearish, and ranging markets.
Explore complementary indicator rolesHow it works
The Reversal Signals indicator operates through two primary phases: the Momentum Phase and the Trend Exhaustion Phase. In the Momentum Phase, the indicator tracks 9 candles (or sometimes 8) to detect potential trend shifts, plotting numbers when candles meet specific close price conditions relative to previous periods.
The Trend Exhaustion Phase follows, spanning 13 candles and comparing each candle's close to two periods earlier. Unlike the Momentum Phase, this phase doesn't require consecutive candle sequences and can generate stronger trading signals with potential for longer-lasting price reversals.
Why it may be useful
The Reversal Signals indicator provides traders with a sophisticated method to identify potential trend reversals in various market conditions. By offering detailed phase-specific insights, it helps traders recognize when momentum is fading and a potential trend change might occur, which can be crucial for making informed trading decisions.
Unlike many traditional indicators that perform poorly in ranging markets, this tool aims to provide reliable signals across different market environments. It generates support and resistance levels, risk assessments, and potential trade setups, giving traders a comprehensive view of potential trend transitions.
When to explore it
The Reversal Signals indicator is most effective in markets experiencing potential trend changes, particularly when traders want to identify early signs of momentum shifts. It works best when combined with other technical analysis tools, helping traders confirm potential entry and exit points across different market conditions.
Traders should use this indicator during periods of market transitions, such as when price action suggests a possible trend reversal. It is particularly valuable in markets showing signs of exhaustion, where traditional trend-following indicators might provide less reliable signals.
