How it works

The strategy begins by using Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) to confirm market trend direction, with 9-period and 15-period EMAs plotted to provide trend clarity. It then identifies liquidity zones by marking the highest high and lowest low over 20 periods, which represent potential areas of price reaction.

Order block detection follows, identifying institutional activity zones where price is likely to shift. Bullish order blocks are formed when the highest close over 5 bars exceeds the highest high, while bearish order blocks occur when the lowest close is lower than the lowest low. Fair Value Gaps (FVG) are also detected to highlight price inefficiencies between candles.

Why it may be useful

This multi-layered approach provides traders with a comprehensive view of market dynamics, combining trend identification, liquidity analysis, and institutional activity tracking. By integrating multiple technical indicators, traders can gain deeper insights into potential market movements and make more informed trading decisions.

The strategy helps traders understand not just price movement, but the underlying market structure and potential areas of institutional interest. It offers a more nuanced approach to market analysis by considering trend, liquidity, order flow, and price inefficiencies in a single coherent framework.

When to explore it

The strategy is most effective in markets with clear trending characteristics and sufficient liquidity. It works best in timeframes that allow for detailed analysis, such as intraday, daily, and swing trading charts. Traders should look for confluence between multiple signals, such as trend confirmation, order block alignment, and fair value gap patterns.

It is particularly useful in volatile markets where price inefficiencies and institutional activity are more pronounced. Traders should combine this strategy with risk management techniques and avoid relying solely on these signals for trading decisions.
