How it works

The Volume Delta_RTB indicator calculates volume differences by comparing buying and selling volumes across time frames. It uses the ta.requestVolumeDelta function to extract key volume metrics like open, maximum, minimum, and last recorded volume deltas.

The indicator then applies a configurable threshold to filter out insignificant volume movements, ensuring only meaningful market pressure changes are displayed. When the absolute value of the last volume delta exceeds the preset threshold, the indicator visualizes the data using color-coded candles, with yellow representing buying pressure and pink showing selling pressure.

Why it may be useful

Volume delta provides crucial insights into market sentiment by revealing the underlying buying and selling dynamics of an asset. By quantifying the relative strength of buyers and sellers, traders can gain a deeper understanding of potential trend reversals or continuation signals.

The filtering mechanism helps traders focus on significant volume movements, reducing market noise and enabling more precise decision-making. This approach allows traders to identify moments of substantial market participation and potential momentum shifts more effectively.

When to explore it

The Volume Delta_RTB is most effective in liquid markets with reliable volume data, such as major stock indices, forex pairs, and heavily traded commodities. It works best during periods of active trading when volume information is most accurate and meaningful.

Traders should use this indicator in conjunction with other technical analysis tools to confirm signals and validate potential trade entries or exits. It is particularly useful for identifying significant market sentiment changes and potential trend reversals in short to medium-term trading scenarios.
