UNDERSTAND THE TOOL

How it works

The MA Sabres indicator monitors the direction of a selected moving average over consecutive bars. When the moving average changes direction after maintaining a consistent trend, the indicator draws a sabre-shaped figure.

The sabre's shape and angle are dynamically calculated based on the Average True Range (ATR) of the previous 14 bars, which determines its volatility and slope. The indicator creates a polyline object representing the sabre, which is offset one bar back to align its location accurately

Why it may be useful

The MA Sabres indicator provides traders with a visual representation of potential trend reversals, helping them identify key market transition points. By using moving averages and volatility measurements, it offers insights into market momentum and potential support/resistance levels.

The sabre-shaped figure can serve as a strategic tool for entry and exit points, stop-loss placement, and understanding market sentiment. Its dynamic nature allows traders to adapt to changing market conditions quickly

When to explore it

MA Sabres works best in markets with clear trending behavior and moderate volatility. Traders should use this indicator when seeking to confirm trend changes and identify potential breakout opportunities.

It is particularly effective in swing trading and day trading scenarios where capturing trend reversals is crucial. The indicator is most reliable when combined with other technical analysis tools and when used across multiple timeframes to validate signals
