How it works

The ZOR indicator calculates performance by comparing an asset against a benchmark across multiple time zones, utilizing weighted ratios from 63, 126, 189, and 252-day periods. It generates a score between 0-99, where higher scores indicate stronger outperformance, with customizable weights and benchmark settings.

Two supporting indicators complement the ZOR: Distance to 52-week High and Distance to EMA. These indicators provide additional context by showing the asset's price relationship to its historical high and exponential moving average, helping traders understand short-term momentum and potential trend reversals.

Why it may be useful

The ZOR indicator offers traders a comprehensive view of asset performance by integrating multiple timeframes into a single, interpretable score. By applying a non-linear transformation, it emphasizes recent performance and provides a flexible framework for comparing assets against any chosen benchmark.

The supporting indicators enhance analysis by revealing trend strength, potential breakout scenarios, and short-term momentum. Traders can quickly identify outperforming assets, assess price extensions from long-term highs or short-term averages, and make more informed trading decisions with a holistic market perspective.

When to explore it

The ZOR indicator is most effective in markets with clear trend characteristics, where relative performance can be meaningfully compared across different timeframes. It works best for traders seeking a comprehensive performance assessment that goes beyond traditional single-timeframe analysis.

Ideal usage includes evaluating potential investment opportunities, screening for strong-performing assets, and identifying assets with consistent outperformance. Traders should combine this indicator with other technical and fundamental analysis to validate signals and make more robust trading decisions.
