How it works

The indicator utilizes a non-repainting Renko chart approach, which focuses exclusively on price movement by creating price 'bricks' that only change when a specific price threshold is crossed. By employing Renko's close price, the Ichimoku Cloud becomes smoother and less susceptible to minor price fluctuations.

The system incorporates standard Ichimoku lines including Tenken Sen, Kiju Sen, Senkou A/B, and Chikou Span, with additional visual markers for Tenken Sen/Kiju Sen crosses and Kumo cloud twists. Users can select box size either automatically through Average True Range (ATR) or manually by rounding the ATR to the nearest decimal.

Why it may be useful

The Renko-based Ichimoku Cloud provides traders with a more precise and noise-reduced view of market trends by eliminating time-based chart distortions. By focusing purely on price movement, traders can more clearly identify significant market shifts and potential trading opportunities without getting distracted by minor price oscillations.

The flexible box size selection allows traders to customize the indicator's sensitivity to their specific trading instrument, enabling more accurate trend analysis across different markets and timeframes. The additional visual markers for crosses and cloud twists further enhance traders' ability to quickly recognize potential entry and exit points.

When to explore it

This indicator is most effective in markets with clear trending characteristics, where price movements are more directional and less choppy. It works particularly well in forex, cryptocurrency, and futures markets that exhibit consistent directional momentum and allow for precise trend identification.

Traders should apply this indicator when seeking to reduce market noise and focus on fundamental price trends. It is especially useful during periods of sustained market movement, such as during strong bullish or bearish trends, where the Renko and Ichimoku components can provide clear, actionable signals.
