How it works

The indicator uses an Exponential Moving Average (EMA) with a default length of 50 days to establish market trend direction. When price is above the EMA, an uptrend is confirmed, and when price is below, a downtrend is identified. Buy signals occur when the current bar's low is lower than the previous bar's low and the closing price is higher, during an uptrend.

Sell signals happen when the current bar's high is higher than the previous bar's high and the closing price is lower, during a downtrend. This methodology helps traders identify potential trend continuation or reversal points by analyzing consecutive price bar relationships

Why it may be useful

The CRT RED DOG indicator provides traders with a systematic approach to identifying market entry and exit points. By incorporating trend analysis, it helps reduce false signals and improves trading decision-making. The indicator's ability to filter signals based on market trend direction enhances trade probability and reduces emotional trading.

Traders can customize the moving average length to suit different market conditions and trading styles. The visual representation of signals with green and red arrows makes it easy to interpret market movements quickly and accurately
